Welcome to the Pre-Medical Society! We’re a student organization at UTSA dedicated to helping students explore and prepare for a career in medicine. We aim to promote excellence in pre-medical scholarship by supporting students in a variety of ways.

Students have a lot of obligations on top of classes that’s why we provide many opportunities to earn extra hours. If you ever have time conflicts, our officers are always willing to make adjustments to accommodate you.
What are the benefits of being an active member? Active membership not only ensures that you are a more competent medical school applicant ,there are also semesterly milestone rewards:
  • 70 Hours: Certificate + Grad Cord + Embroidered Lab Coat
  • 45 Hours: Certificate + Grad Cord
  • 32 Hours: Certificates
  • Sign Up Priority for volunteer events and medical school tours
  • Access to the Pre-Med Library (20+ MCAT study books)
What is JAB? JAB stands for Journals, Articles, and Books. The JAB initiative offers our members enriching activities, like MCAT Hours where key MCAT topics are discussed. Our JAB meetings also focus on the humanitarian aspect of medicine, feature a variety of engaging activities, and we provide food at every meeting!
